Extended Producer's Responsibility (EPR)

EPR is a policy approach that makes manufacturers responsible for the environmental impacts of their products throughout their products lifecycle, from design to disposal.

As per the EPR rules of India, EPR Registration is mandatory for producers , importers ,Brand owners , manufactures of the products that are involved in the generating e-waste , plastic waste , battery waste, tyre waste & waste oil. They need to get the EPR Certificate to compensate for the waste caused by their products in environment.

Without EPR Certification, no entity in India can run the business activity legally. Violation of rules and regulations concerning EPR can result in penalties.

The main objective of EPR is to minimize the total environmental impact of waste materials by re-cycling.

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has exempted the Micro industries (Investment in plant & Machinery or Equipment Less than 1 Cr. & Turnover Less than 5 Cr.) involved in E- Waste from EPR Registration.
